Just for fun, here's a treasury inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's The Raven.

This is as scary as it gets for me! I'm not a fan of slasher/horror movies. When I was a young teenager I saw The Exorcist and that was the last time I went near anything with even a hint of horror. I did see the original Night of the Living Dead this year, wasn't scary! I'm more the Great Pumpkin sort.

My brother and me in the late 1960's

How do you do Halloween? We're in a neighborhood where tons of candy is given out, carloads of kids are brought in and the neighbors have a ball. We can always count on some hot chocolate(with Buttershots) from the next door neighbors and they always have special dog treats for our four legged friends. I usually put on a crockpot of chili to share. Rain or shine(moon and star shine that is) we all enjoy the costumed kids and a sweet sense of community and tradition.

May you have a fun and safe Halloween!

  1. I enjoy the kidlets too. I love giving them a decorated Fall theme bag with candy and a children's style gospel tract inside.

  2. We don't tend to do anything for Halloween, but the firework display is on tonight so we will watch that and have hot dogs for dinner x
